Head of the Department of Gynecologic Oncology at the Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center
Prof. Dan Grisaru, MD, PhD, is the head of the Department of Gynecologic Oncology at the Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv and a Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. He completed his MD studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. His residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was accomplished at the Sourasky Medical Center, followed by a clinical fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada. He also has a PhD degree from the School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University.
He was lately appointed as a member of the publication committee of the Society of the Gynecologic Oncologists in the US. He is also a member of the European, International and Israeli Societies of Gynecological Oncology. His department was the first Israeli site to be accredited by the European Society for fellowship training. He has supervised over the years many students and residents in research programs of MD, BSc, MSc, PhD and post-doc. He published more than 100 peerreviewed articles, presented his research in many Israeli and international meetings and received numerous research grants. He has patents on hematopoietic growth factor and CAR-T cell therapy for ovarian cancer. His basic research focuses on development and treatment of ovarian cancer and tissue engineering of a uterine wall. His clinical research involves investigation of new surgical techniques in general and in gynecologic oncology.
