How Tel Aviv University Leads the Way in Producing Unicorn Entrepreneurs
Unicorns
A recent study led by Prof. Ilya Strebulaev, director of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Venture Capital Initiative, highlights that Tel Aviv University stands out with 16 unicorn founders among 74 non-US institutions analyzed.
The analysis of 531 US unicorns shows that 21% of their founders earned their degrees from universities outside the US.
The research reveals that a US-based venture capital-backed startup whose founder is from Reichman University is 11.3 times more likely than average to achieve unicorn status. This study underscores the significant influence of global educational backgrounds on unicorn success.
